Live performance

Festival des idées à but non-lucratif, Geneva, May 2019. 

 

Baby Steps was a mother daughter dance performed as part of the Festival des idées à but non lucratif, at Cornavin train station, Geneva, Switzerland. The improvised duo dance sampled actions and gestures used in the daily performance of infant care giving, moving between movements of rocking, soothing and shushing. The performance attempted to acknowledge the intimate and often invisible labours of mothering.
