This series of digital collages samples and scrambles extracts of email correspondence sent between the artist and her partner and collaborator, Swiss choreographer and performer, Gregory Stauffer, during periods of long-distance separation from February 2016- April 2018. The texts present an absurd and disjointed dialogue of recollections, plannings and projections of encounters between two bodies divided by temporal and geographic distance. These intimate exchanges are layered over a watermarked background of Australian and Swiss iconography to reflect how cross-border relations are actualised through the negotiation of administrative, legal and economic barriers.
